These Terms of Use govern your access to Prism & Petal, including its articles, illustrations, interactive flavor matcher, and texture guide. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
You must be legally able to accept these terms or use the site under the supervision of a parent or guardian who accepts them.
2. Editorial purpose
The journal offers general culinary, cultural, artistic, and lifestyle information. It is not a store, a subscription service, or a personalized advisory service. References to flavors and confectionery techniques are creative inspiration rather than instructions that guarantee a particular result.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the journal lawfully and respectfully. In particular, you may not:
- Attempt to disrupt, damage, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its hosting environment.
- Use automated means that materially interfere with normal access or ignore applicable restrictions.
- Misrepresent our content, branding, or editorial statements as your own.

Unless otherwise stated, the Prism & Petal name, original text, visual composition, custom illustrations, and interactive editorial content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Quoting a brief excerpt with clear attribution is welcome where permitted by law. Republishing complete articles, redistributing the illustration set, selling copies, or implying endorsement requires prior written permission from the editors.
5. Interactive tools & kitchen safety
The Flavor Profile Matcher produces editorial suggestions, not dietary, allergy, nutritional, or purchasing advice. The Temperature & Texture Guide provides broad educational ranges; it is not a stand-alone recipe or a substitute for calibrated equipment, detailed instructions, and appropriate experience.

6. Availability & changes

8. General provisions
These terms, together with the policies referenced here, form the agreement concerning site use. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Applicable consumer rights and local mandatory laws remain unaffected.
